Sendoff helps one person (the organizer) collect messages from a group and turn them into one card for someone who is leaving. This page says exactly what we keep, why, and who else touches it.
What we collect
- Organizers: your email address (to sign you in), a note that you confirmed you are 18 or older, and the cards you make: the recipient's first name, how you know them, up to five facts you type, the opener text, and the names and prompts you give contributors.
- Contributors: the message you write and, if you choose, one photo. No account, no email, no phone number, no age. Contributors may be any age, so we keep nothing about you except the message and photo themselves.
- Recipients: nothing. Opening the card logs that it was viewed, with no details about you.
- Usage events: counts such as "a card was started" or "a message was added", tied to an organizer account or a card id. Never the text of a message.
We never ask for access to your contacts, and our servers never text or email your contributors. You send every link yourself.
Who processes it
- Supabase stores the database, the photos (in a private bucket, shown only through short-lived links) and your sign-in.
- Render hosts the web app.
- Anthropic drafts the opener and the per-person prompts. We send it the recipient's first name, the relationship, your facts and the tone you pick. Anthropic's commercial terms do not allow it to train models on that content.
We do not sell data, run ads, or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
A card and everything on it stays until the organizer deletes it or deletes their account. Deleting removes messages, photos and links straight away; backups roll off within 30 days. A contributor can delete their own message any time before the card is finished.
Your rights
Organizers can download everything from Settings (JSON) and delete their account there. Anyone, including contributors and residents of California or the EU/UK, can ask us to access, correct or erase their data by emailing brentthomas.c@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days.
Cookies
One sign-in cookie for organizers, set by Supabase. No analytics or advertising cookies. Contributor and recipient pages set no cookies at all.
